The Advanced Vegetative Roof System is the creation of Mark Carpenter, founder of Columbia Green Technologies, (CGT) Inc. in Tualatin, Oregon.
Since its creation in 2006, CGT developed a leading-edge reputation across the USA for knowledge, innovation and customer care. Mark is also the owner of Columbia Construction Services, Inc. and Columbia Roofing and Sheetmetal - both of these company's established a broad base of clientele to include elder-care facilities, private colleges and universities, strategic material manufacturers and commercial real estate developers.
Mark has always been dedicated to quality installation, relationship-driven customer support and sensible solutions to every client’s needs. Quite simply, Mark and his team fulfills its business promise effectively and efficiently every day.
In November of 2009 Columbia Green Technologies, Inc. was acquired by Vanessa Keitges and Don Carter dedicated and passionate team members.

A dynamic international career reflects Vanessa Keitges’ ability to get the job done independently and effectively. Vanessa has an excellent track record in her ability to analyze the marketplace, map relevant trends, and close quickly on key account opportunities. She is motivated and passionate about her career with extensive experience in sales & marketing as well as business development services.
Vanessa’s strong relationship building skills create win-win solutions for customers, partners, shareholders and employees. She earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Oregon State University. Her hobbies include: riding horses and buying vintage clothes. Vanessa’s true passion is helping others within her community. She is a Portland, Ore. Rotarian and she serves as co-chair of the Connect Africa Committee, which develops grants to support water and micro-credit projects for people in the continent. She has an affinity toward animals and sits on the corporate resource council at the Oregon Zoo.
Don Carter- Chief Operating Officer - CGT, Inc.
Don’s 30 years of international experience including 20 years as a senior level executive and corporate technical director spans multiple market segments from High Tech to Agriculture. Don is one of the founder’s and President of Laurus Technology Partners, an ignition venture team successfully assisting more than two dozen start-up Company’s. He was conferred a Doctor of Science Degree in Concurrent Engineering from Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham UK in 1994.
Don’s passion is Enterprise Best Practices, Low Impact Development, Organic Vineyard Management and Winemaking.
